Brad here with an end of week update on production & deliveries.

Thanks to everyone who is with us in this time! More than ever we appreciate the support and patience of all those who have chosen to ride braaap! We can't wait to get you your bike!

We have progress and all things are coming into order, even though things have been slower and more difficult than anticipated thanks the Gov't delays and C-19 lockdowns.

Massive shout out to those who've sent in some support and gone to bat for us online because dam we have copped a flogging from some people online in this time. Sorry to bring this up but just really appreciate your support while we navigate such a challenging year.

I'd like to give some confidence and just reinforce that we are strong and we are stable given the circumstance, All things are moving forwards and bikes are being built as normal. The Melbourne Lockdown does pose a risk to our delivery dates but not a risk to the viability of braaap as a business which is something I really wanted to drive home in this message today, We are still here, still pushing hard as usual and still moving forwards. C19 is a pain but its nothing compared the the challenges we've overcome in the past. We have always been underdogs in a very competitive industry, which has made us adapt to many challenges in our 15 years of building motorcycles!

Moto3 Customers who are waiting for the bikes which are built and ready for dispatch from our Frankston warehouse - We finally heard from the Government yesterday, they are processing final papers next week. Let's hope this actually happens!! As soon as they give us the green light we can begin delivering your bikes :)

Moto3 next shipments (Those who purchased after July 1), Your bikes are ready to be loaded into the containers and sail to Australia next week. We can't see any reason for delay at this point and would usually confidently say you will be riding mid/late October. Please give us some grace in this time as I wouldn't be surprised if there are some minor C-19 related slow downs that cause you to have to wait to be riding until November. We will keep you posted and lets pray for a smooth run and riding in October or at least early November.

Dirt - MX110/125/3/17 - We haven't received final import approvals for the full shipment but we have heard from the Gov't and received import approvals for a shipment of 450cc dirt-bikes we have on the way (Our big MX450 launch has been watered down due to C19 lockdown but stay tuned for some cool stuff coming out soon), this gives us confidence that they are processing approvals and therefore expect that we will be able to sail in the early part of Oct. This means we think you could be riding in 45 ish days but have asked our team to say 45-90 days just because we have worries over minor C19 delays.

SS125 - Good news here is we heard from the Government this week about the SS125. We have the model approved but are waiting on the import approval. The import approval staff asked us to make a minor edit to our approval which was done immediately, this gives us confidence that they are processing the approval and we are pretty confident you will be riding in 45-90 days. We need the approval paper work before we can book the ship so stay tuned for updates, hopefully next week brings breakthrough!

ST250 - This one is the big one, Our most popular bike and the longest wait so far from people. As you guys heard last week the department have not reviewed all of our testing results, compliance certificates and evidence to show case the bike is the same as last shipment & therefore compliant (as it has been for a number of years), we have been on to them to pick up this file and resolve the issue. We are awaiting import approvals, We have 100's of this model built and ready to begin the delivery process as soon as approvals are received. Any delivery date I give would be speculation because all we need is one stamp of approval from the Gov't, this could be done very promptly if they began communicating in an effective manner, so please wait for an update. We are believing things are beginning to change and we hope for a breakthrough on this approval in the coming weeks. We've engaged legal advice, hired extra ADR consultants and reached out for political support. Not only does this delay cause you as a customer distress but it costs our city jobs which is why we are doing our best to motivate the political powers to step in and resolve the issue. We have also initiated back up plans and doing everything we can to resolve the uncertainty around the specific delivery date as quickly as possible. We are motivated because we want you riding and loving your bike, We also dont want you to have uncertainty or any type of distress due to the delivery date. Additionally we incur a huge amount of storage fees for the bikes that are built and have an overwhelming number of calls from people who are waiting, The point I'm making is that on every level we are fully invested in getting the ST250 delivered to you as quickly as possible. We will get there and bikes will be on the road, the sooner the better for us all!

Brad here, Shooting an update to all those waiting for the ST250 Cafe Racer to arrive.

Firstly I just want to thank you that you’ve chosen the buy a braaap, it means a lot to us & I can’t wait to see you ride!

I need to apologise again to those whom have been delayed this year, its unfair and its been to long, I am so sorry and embarrassed that we are delayed in delivering the 2020 model ST-250. I know it effects some people as they rely on their bike for transport and to others even just the fact that the delay has created uncertainty for you has caused myself, and family to loose sleep. We hate that 2020 has not gone to plan.

The disorder of 2020 has cost us greatly but we are moving forwards and we will not give up. All things will come into order and we are 100% committed to ensuring every person gets their desired outcome, either their bike or a refund.

Some people receiving this update purchased knowing delays were a high probability because as the year has progressed we have done better and better at communicating the discounts as a way of making it “worth the wait”, but there are others who purchased well before we knew there would be such significant delays in 2020.

So I am addressing both groups at once, which means I have a lot of people who are just eager and patiently waiting for their bike at the same time as addressing a group of ppl who are just outright pissed off about the delays.

I have to start by saying bringing some truth and giving you some certainty to the situation.

In no way did we expect a delay like we’ve experienced this year.

In no way does this delay benefit us.

In no way have we purposely down played the risk of delay, this is especially addressing those people who purchased bikes at the start of the year when we didn’t know that there would be a delay.

We have done and continue to do everything possible to deliver bikes as quickly as possible, this includes hiring consultants, speaking to the deputy prime minister, members for parliament, small business ombudsman, family business ombudsman & the administrator of vehicle standards - effectively we’ve been pursuing any one who has the ability to see our bikes approved for delivery.

We are not blaming C19, however C19 has added to the delays significantly, for example are not able to call the staff at department of infrastructure at the moment.

Yes braaap is strong however we are vulnerable and we do need your cooperation & patience in order to make sure everyone gets successful outcome.

We have just seen the Moto3 begin to be delivered, it is a great example that things are coming into order & bikes are being delivered.

Hopefully you’ve seen the photos of your ST250 being built, we have 100’s built and more ready for immediate assembly as soon as Approvals are received.

I know that some of you have felt our response to those who have requested refunds has been harsh. It is by no means our intention to cause any of our customers any type of distress, which is why we are absolutely committed to getting everyone a successful outcome be that either a bike or a refund. However there are some major practical limitations that make a refund request incredibly difficult for us. The promotion is designed to cut out every cost possible in order to deliver you a bike at the lowest possible price, this is why the bike is less than half price, to do this we are building your bike as soon as you order, this means as soon as you pay us we outlay the funds to build the bike - therefore any refunds have to come out of the working capital from ongoing sales. This means our ability to refund is only proportional to our ability to sell motorcycles, hence why we need your support so that everyone can get a successful outcome.

This is why I have had to make tough decisions regarding those who’ve requested refunds, even though some people have gone to great lengths to cause us pain. My first priority remains that we need to keep braaap moving forwards so that you can get a your bike or your refund.

As you already know we began the build of your bike as soon as you paid, this means we outlaid the funds, we have 100’s of motorcycles built and in storage. Our delay is a result of our standard import approvals not yet being approved by the department of infrastructure.

This week I have received pivotal information from the department and will give you a full overview of the process to move forwards in this message I have recorded and attached below.

We will get there!!
